Out To Lunch was formed in 1989, taking its name from an Eric Dolphy album.
The group arrived at its current members in 1990 and began chiefly as a self-recording act.
K.Nishino has played for Ghost, Cosmic Invention and Overhang Party, and accompanied Damo Suzuki on his first tour in Japan. I.Yamazaki doubles as drummer for Overhang Party and is the former drummer of Ghost. T.Yoshizaki, a computer programmer, produced the music for two CD-ROMs in 1996-7.
